Crescent City Brewhouse

Craft beer meets French Quarter fun at Crescent City Brewhouse, a New Orleans brewpub that is believed to be the oldest in Louisiana. Located just a few blocks from Jackson Square and Bourbon Street, this brewery is housed in a historic Creole townhouse that was built in the mid-1700s. Crescent City Brewhouse is the only place in town where you’ll find house-made beers and fresh raw oysters served in a relaxed, family-friendly environment that recalls the French Quarter’s heyday.

Choose from one of the four house beers made daily at Crescent City Brewhouse, or ask your server about the seasonal special: Spring Bock, Oktoberfest and Carnival varieties are known to show up on the menu. The year-round selections include Black Forest, a deep, full-bodied mahogany-colored beer; the wheat beer, known simply as Weiss Beer; the lighter pilsner variety; and the signature Red Stallion beer. Enjoy a pint on-site, grab one to go (this is New Orleans, after all, where open containers are allowed) or take home a 64-ounce growler of your favorite beer.

There’s so much more to Crescent City Brewhouse than, well, the actual brewing. Belly up to the oyster bar and watch shuckers in action, or mosey on upstairs and watch the bustle of crowds walking down Decatur Street below. This is also the perfect place to see tugboats, cruise ships and steamboats cruising down the Mississippi. If you’re in town with a crowd, this venue is for you. Crescent City Brewhouse has a large capacity dining area, as well as nightly jazz band performances that showcase some of New Orleans’ best performers playing the music that made the Big Easy famous.
